Magic to Wii

Avery and I (Neil)spent the afternoon in the rain watching a great show by magician Sterling Dietz. He put on a great show at Aquafest despite the bad weather. Avery loved the show and even got her own magic kit.

Since getting the Wii, about a week ago, Avery has dominated Wii Bowling (High Score of 210). She had not ventured outside of Wii sports until today. Avery tested out her balance and athletic ability on Wii Fit this afternoon.

Yoga anyone?

How about Strength training?

Ski Jumping...

Aquafest- Saturday

We spent most of Saturday enjoying the Aquafest activities. The weather was perfect, even with the small downpour before the parade. We met up with Dennis, Jodie, Livvy and Langdon, watched the parade, then the girls got their faces painted and went on the rides.

Last year when Avery went on the rides, she was very timid and scared. She evened screamed "GET ME OFF THIS RIDE NOW!" on the pirate boat/swing ride. She did much better this year, going on all of the rides except for the roller coaster.
Avery is scared to death and Livvy is having the time of her life.

Avery ran into her friend William while in-line for the Motorcycle ride. Avery really likes William, she claims that she is going to marry him when she gets older.

Bossy Avery told William to get in the back . . .

We finished up the day enjoying BBQ sandwiches from the Wicked BBQ stand and having yummy dessert. Our feet were so sore from standing for a couple of hours at the parade and the walking around that I don't think any of us moved much once we got home!

Neil and Avery are off to see the magician today (Sunday). I really wasn't too excited about being out in the rain so I stayed home to blog :).

Aquafest- Brothers from Different Mothers

Tonight we went to see Brothers from Different Mothers (and NO, we are not talking about Nathan and Nicolas). They are a comedy juggling act that was performing at Lake Stevens Aquafest. It was a fun show with lots of adult humor thrown into a kids act. Tomorrow we are going to hit the parade, rides and the fair food.

Avery took this picture, not bad for a 5 year old!

Riding Coattails

We have had such a great time reading some of our friends blogs that we decided to do one of our own. I can't promise that it will be updated daily, but we will try our best to update as much as we can. I hope you enjoy!
