Last day of May.

Today Avery tried again to ride her bike without the training wheels. As you will see in the photos it was better but not a complete success. After the frustration wore off she did navigate the monkey bars very well.

We ended the day with a nice remembrance of what would would have been Addison McKenzie's 1st birthday party. Addison was Neil's brother's daughter that died before she could be born. Neil's mom spoke and his dad gave a prayer and then the whole family went out to dinner.

Is it summer yet?

The weather is great and school is almost over. It's not quite summer yet but it sure does feel like it. Every day Avery wants to get her swim suit on and play outside with the neighbors boys.

Shelly bought new flowers for the flower beds and spread new bark throughout. Neil has the sprinklers up and running and lawn is mowed for another week(almost as good as Safeco Field)

Now it's off to BBQ with friends.(Are we sure it's not summer yet?)

Bowling Birthday Bash

Avery's 6th birthday party was a huge success. She was so excited to go bowling with all of her friends. Shelly made the best chocolate cupcakes the day before and then we left Avery with Grammy and Papa for the night. We met Maggie and Ben at the Sheraton for drinks, dinner(Wild Ginger), a concert(Showbox), and then more dinner(Palomino), while Avery and Grammy put together the party favors.

Sunday morning, the cupcakes were frosted, the car was packed, and off to Evergreen Lanes we went. Each kid got their own Birthday Bash t-shirt along with their party favor. The kids had a blast and loved the music and disco lights.

After bowling one full game it was time for presents and cupcakes. It all went so quickly but everyone, especially Avery, had a great time.
