The last day of gymnastics
After Avery's class today, Northwest Aerials in Snohomish was closing its doors. As Avery took advantage of one last opportunity to tumble and bounce people were already removing equipment that they had purchased from the closing gym.

Our Hour at the Beach
A -3.8 tide brought us to the beach today. Avery spent her time filling a bucket with shells.

Neil found this fish in a small puddle of water under a rock.

We rescued it and promptly returned it the sound.

While Neil was sending the fish back home Avery drew a picture and message in the sand for him.
As we sat down to have our lunch the wind started blowing and rain started coming down. One short hour at the beach and then it was time to go. No sand castle today. Maybe next time.

Happy Fathers Day
Today was a perfect Fathers Day. We watched lots of movies, we watched the Mariners win in the bottom of the 7th inning, we had a yummy shrimp dinner and we played Neil's present... Guitar Hero: Smash Hits. Even Avery took a turn on the guitar. Very addictive. She may be hooked.

1st Day of School
Last Day of School
Kindergarten is now over. I can read now. I can add and subtract. I can write sentences. I have lost a couple teeth. I have gotten a little taller. I ate lunch at school today with the big kids. I am ready for 1st grade. The question is...Is 1st grade ready for me?
