Could It Be?

This weekend started off like most other weekends this fall. Monroe Football got shut out at Marysville. A Monroe loss has meant a weekend of sporting disasters. Would this weekend be any different? WSU was hosting BYE this week, UW was playing Notre Dame, and the Seahawks were on the road at San Fransisco.

There is only one team that has never let us down. The Green Machine soccer team played Saturday Morning and did not disappoint. They played the Cheetah Girls (a team that scored and danced circles around the Green Machine in the first game of the season) and did very well. It is too bad there is only one game left. The girls are really learning how to compete.

After the game we made our way to Bob's Corn to find lunch and a pumpkin. Avery and Ellie hit the hay ride and we visited the snack shack for some lunch. It was a beautiful day and the farm was busy. After finding some pumpkins to our liking, we posed for some pics and then it was off for home.

After watching the Huskies play ND for a quarter I believe we hit football rock bottom. Thank goodness WSU could not lose to BYE. Only half the state needs to be embarrassed that thoroughly on any given weekend. Watching the Huskies made cleaning the house feel like a day at the spa. Is it possible that both teams could lose on Apple Cup Weekend? We can only wait and see.

On Sunday we made our way to Gruncle and Grandma's to be with family as the Seahawks prepared to round out our football weekend at San Fransisco. We were greeted with good food, great company, and yes, dare I say it...A Seahawk victory! Only in the NFC West could a 2-5 record put you in 2nd place and give you hope for a playoff spot at this point in the season.
